You may not think Kentucky when you think destination wedding, but think again! September 18, 2016, was a quintessential Kentucky day for Lisa and Dave’s intimate, southern wedding with 25 of their closest family and friends.
When considering what venue to book, Lisa stated: “As an out-of-towner planning a destination wedding in the state I grew up in, I chose Warrenwood Manor for the beauty of the location. All of my east coast guests will forever remember Kentucky as one of the most beautiful places they’ve been.”
Serving as the venue, wedding planner, and event stylist, Warrenwood Manor offered the perfect backdrop of beautiful farmland for the couple. They said, “Lisa and Dave were an absolute dream to work with! Straight from New York City, the happy couple fully embraced Kentucky traditions serving a wonderful Kentucky themed menu complete with mini hot browns, southern staples, and sweets from Kentucky chocolatiers. Of course bourbon was served, accompanied by an excellent selection of craft beer from local favorites such as West Sixth and Country Boy.”
They also said that they loved “that Lisa chose an all white color palette for the ceremony, but added brilliant pops of fuchsia to liven up the reception. Doug Smith Designs + Events went above and beyond to create the classic, souther wedding Lisa envisioned.”
