The Proposal
Seth proposed on my family vacation to Ft. Lauderdale. He tried to propose multiple times but things didn’t go as planned. Toward the end of the week we all went out for a family dinner and decided to take pictures on the pier. My parents were taking pictures as Seth finally got down on one knee. At that exact moment lightning struck behind us and it was perfect!
Choosing a Venue
We always knew that we wanted to have a barn wedding. The Round Barn encompassed the farm feeling we wanted in the heart of the city that we both call home.
Most important elements on wedding day
For our wedding the most important elements were the food and drinks. We worked with Bayou Bluegrass Catering to come up with a food and beverage menu that everyone would enjoy. We also wanted a DJ that would help us pack the dance floor!
Advice for other couples
My advice to other couples would be to enjoy the process and take it all in. Don’t stress over the little details because no one will really notice if they are not perfect. The wedding is about the love you and your groom have and sharing that with your loved ones. If you focus on these three things everything will fall into place.
