Tell us your love story!
We met about eight years ago through mutual friends at a concert at the ballpark. Andy and I became friends and a few years later started dating and now we have been together for about four years. After having such a long friendship, we were lucky enough to know so much about each other without the awkwardness of dating.

How did he propose?
I was on my way home from work after being out of town and he kept calling me to ask how much longer it would be until I got home. When I finally got home he asked me to check our pet pig’s collar because he thought he had put it on too tight. When I checked the collar I noticed something shiny and it was a charm that read “Andy wants to know if you will marry him.” I jumped up, turned around and there he was proposing!

How did you choose your venue?
Our wedding planner, Deanna, was instrumental in this! She mentioned Fasig-Tipton, and after visiting we loved how beautiful the venue was. It was perfect because it was a blank canvas for us to fully develop our vision.

How long were you engaged?
We were engaged for eight months.

What elements were most important for you wedding day to you?
For us, the most important aspects were the comfort of our guests and the food. We wanted an awesome sitting area to match the Gatsby theme, and our guests loved it! The food was heaven and we even had an ice sculpture that held all of the seafood.

What advice would you give to other brides?
The best advice I can give is to eat! It is so easy to forget, I did. I was just so happy to finally be celebrating but I was starving by the end of the night.
