Tell us your love story!
We met through work and became friends through kickball. Then, when Guy injured his knew playing rec league sports, I took care of him and caught his attention with my kindness. I took some time and convincing for me to come around, but eventually I gave him a chance. Soon after that, we both realized that we were meant for each other and this wedding- the perfect day to start our lives together- followed.
How did he propose?
Guy proposed on a quiet night at home. After making dinner and somehow keeping calm while doing the dishes, he dropped to one knee.
How did you choose your venue?
After searching around Lexington, KY, The Woodford Reserve Club at Kroger Field was an easy choice for us. Not only is it a beautiful space, but the price was fair and the people were easy to work with.
What elements were most important for your wedding day to you?
Incorporating our family was the most important thing and our starting point. From there, selecting a photographer who would document our day in a way that would enhance our memories for years to come was key.
What advice would you give to other brides?
Since we opted not to do a first look, one of the best things we did was create some time for just us to eat a meal together before the reception. We were also glad we stopped by each table to greet all our guests and pose for a picture with each group. All in all, keep things in perspective and about you and the people you love and you’ll be just fine!
