How did your dream wedding become a reality?
We were engaged for over five years and for numerous reasons, we kept putting off the wedding. Then, my father became ill and we decided that we needed to set the date. With all the setbacks over the years, and remodeling Karl’s childhood home where we would live, we just didn’t have the money for a lavish wedding. What we did know is that we wanted to work with Megan at Bourbon & Brides Kentucky Wedding Photography. When we met with her, we asked about recommendations for vendors that could fit our tight budget. We told her why we needed a quick date and that we were trying to figure out a way to pay for the wedding. Megan knew we were stressed about everything and that’s when she turned into a rockstar. She shared our story with local vendors and within 24 hours, many offered to provide complimentary services for our wedding day. I was overwhelmed with gratitude. I was crying so hard on the phone with Megan that I scared Karl.

We were so excited to feature this wedding for two reasons. It’s always amazing to hear a beautiful love story and we couldn’t help but get a little teary eyed while editing this wedding.
