Tell us your love story!
We met at a work meeting in February 2014. We didn’t see each other again for two months. After our second work meeting, Brad asked me when I was going to buy him “that drink I promised.” We went for cocktails that evening and it ended in “the hug” which caused Brad to trip twice walking back to his car.

How did he propose?
He proposed on June 28, 2015 after brunch on the same street corner as “the hug.

How did you choose your venue?
Brad is from Lexington and I grew up in Cincinnati. I rode horses and showed frequently at the Kentucky Horse Park, so a horse farm seemed only fitting. When we looked at Saxony, we felt it was perfect—laid back, charming and fun, like us.

What elements were most important for your wedding day?
Enjoying the moment and making everyone feel included and special. We also really wanted to incorporate special touches and details that represented us, hence the custom cocktail we served as guests arrived (The Arnold Palmer), the whiskey candles, the letter-pressed custom posters, and the band!

What advice would you give other brides?
You can only care about so many details, so pick a few that really matter and make those perfect. The rest will turn out just fine.
