How did Cyrus propose?
My favorite time of the year is Court Day in Preston so it was not out of the ordinary that we were attending. That evening, Cyrus took me to the field where he first spoke to me at Bluegrass Sportsmen’s League and proposed. We celebrated afterwards with friends at a dinner.
How did you choose your venue?
When we were deciding on a venue for our wedding, I wanted to pick a location that had some significance to my family’s background since they would be traveling to attend. It was only natural that I got married at the same place that my papaw used to visit to hear music.
What elements were most important for your wedding day?
Accommodating my guests! We both had friends and family traveling from all over the US to attend and we wanted to make sure their stay was easy and enjoyable. Along with making it a great experience for them, we wanted to incorporate both sides of the family. My dad hand-made all of the boxes that served as centerpieces and his mother had a task of handling over 200 jars of pickles as party favors for our guests.
