HOW DID DREW PROPOSE?
I always wanted to visit New York City. Drew booked a summer trip to NYC. We took a subway to Central Park where we had to walk up the tallest, non-working escalator I’ve ever seen! Looking to the top made us dizzy. Drew had a specific bridge where he wanted to propose to me. He couldn’t find it, so we walked around aimlessly. He kept professing his love to me, more than usual. He took me over top of Gapstow Bridge and dropped to one knee! It was in the spot I had always dreamed of. I’ll cherish the memory forever.
HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR VENUE?
Picking our venue was easy! We are a more modern couple and felt comfortable going against tradition. We wanted our wedding to be a celebration! We loved the rotating artwork at 21c Museum Hotel. We knew there would be countless art pieces for our guests to look and interact with.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER COUPLES?
Take a deep breath, relax, be present and enjoy this moment while it lasts! The actual day goes by so fast, and then it’s over! You’re not going to fall down the aisle. You’re not going to cry your makeup off. Everything is going to feel perfect for you and your partner and that’s all that counts. Every person who comes will show you their love, so soak up those feelings!
